GroupFlow Acceptable Use Policy
Introduction
We seek to make GroupFlow a positive experience for all. The Host sets the standards and enforces policies they expect of the community members within a Group.
However, GroupFlow expects everyone using the platform to adhere to a few basic rules of civility:
- No violation of laws or regulations or violation of intellectual property or personal rights of others.
- No violence, threats of violence, or threats of harm.
- No harassment or attack of a person or a community based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or disabilities.
- No sexualization of minors, nonconsensual sex trafficking, or forced labor.
- No viruses, malware, phishing, or spam.
Prohibited Content and Activities
In addition to the basic rules outlined above, the following specific activities and content are prohibited on GroupFlow:
- Impersonation: Pretending to be another person, organization, or GroupFlow representative.
- Unauthorized Access: Attempting to access accounts or systems without authorization.
- Data Mining: Using automated tools to scrape, mine, or collect data from the platform without explicit permission.
- Interference: Disrupting or interfering with the proper functioning of the platform or other users' experience.
- Misleading Information: Deliberately spreading false or misleading information that could cause harm.
- Commercial Solicitation: Unsolicited advertising or promotional materials unless explicitly permitted by a Group Host.
- Circumvention: Attempting to bypass any technological measures implemented to protect the platform.
Child Safety
GroupFlow has a zero-tolerance policy for content or behavior that endangers children. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Child Sexual Abuse Materials (CSAM): Any content that depicts, encourages, or promotes the sexual abuse or exploitation of children.
- Predatory Behavior: Any inappropriate interaction targeted at a child, including but not limited to grooming, sexualization of minors, or sextortion.
- Child Trafficking: Any advertising, solicitation, or facilitation of commercial sexual exploitation of children.
- Inappropriate Content for Children: Content with excessive violence, blood, gore, or that depicts or encourages harmful and dangerous activities that may appeal to children.
GroupFlow will take immediate action upon discovery of such content, which may include:
- Immediate removal of the content
- Permanent ban of the user account
- Reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or relevant regional authorities
- Cooperation with law enforcement agencies
If you believe a child is in danger or has been subject to abuse, exploitation, or trafficking:
- Contact your local law enforcement immediately
- Report the content through our in-app reporting mechanism
- Email our dedicated child safety team at support@groupflow.com
GroupFlow maintains a designated Child Safety Point of Contact who receives notifications about child safety concerns and is positioned to take immediate action when required.
Account Security Responsibilities
Users of GroupFlow are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts, including:
- Selecting strong, unique passwords and keeping them confidential.
- Promptly reporting any unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Ensuring devices used to access GroupFlow are secure and free from malware.
- Not sharing account credentials with others or allowing unauthorized access to your account.
- Logging out from shared devices after use.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates this Acceptable Use Policy:
- Within a Group: Report the violation to the Group Host using the reporting tools provided.
- Platform-Wide Issues: Report serious violations to GroupFlow by emailing support@groupflow.com with relevant details including:
- Description of the violation
- Location of the content (URL, Group name, etc.)
- Screenshots or other evidence if available
- Date and time of the observed violation
GroupFlow takes all reports seriously and will investigate promptly, though we cannot guarantee a specific response time or outcome.
Consequences of Violations
Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in one or more of the following actions:
- Warning: A formal notice regarding the violation.
- Content Removal: Deletion of violating content.
- Temporary Suspension: Restricting access to some or all platform features for a specified period.
- Permanent Ban: Termination of the user's account and prohibition from creating new accounts.
- Legal Action: In cases of serious violations, GroupFlow reserves the right to pursue appropriate legal remedies.
The specific consequences will depend on the nature, severity, and frequency of the violation. GroupFlow maintains sole discretion in determining appropriate responses to violations.
Policy Updates
This Acceptable Use Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or platform features. When substantive changes are made:
- We will provide notice through the platform or via email.
- The updated policy will be posted with a revised effective date.
- Your continued use of GroupFlow after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
We encourage users to review this policy regularly to stay informed about their rights and responsibilities when using GroupFlow.
